Corporate Liability and Litigation Expected as Biden Administration Moves to Regulate PFAS

March 29, 2021

Bloomberg is reporting an industry perspective on the Biden Administration's swift movement toward regulating per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS.  Attorneys are bracing for "a wave of corporate liability and litigation" in anticipation of regulations designed to control PFAS levels in drinking water and effluent discharges, as well as compel cleanup at hazardous waste sites. More regulation means more potential enforcement liability for manufacturers who make or use PFAS.
