NCDEQ Announces Clean Energy Plan Stakeholder Workshops

The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) will host several stakeholder workshops over the next five months to solicit ideas from the public for developing the North Carolina Clean Energy Plan called for in Governor Cooper's Executive Order 80.  The first workshop is scheduled for Feb. 25 in Raleigh, NC.  Future workshops are scheduled for April 1, April 22, May 22, June 26, and July 24, 2019 in Raleigh with additional public sessions to be scheduled across the state.

Workshop seating is be limited. Interested individuals must submit a request to participate form by Wednesday, Feb. 20 to ensure adequate seating.  Organizations should consider sending participants familiar with the electric power sector to represent their constituents.  Emails will be sent out before each scheduled workshop to confirm attendance.

An informational webinar on the Clean Energy Plan workshop process will be held on Feb. 20 at 3:30 p.m.
