NCDEQ Environmental Justice and Equity Board Meets Nov 14

NCDEQ NEWS RELEASE • November 8, 2018

RALEIGH - The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (NCDEQ) Secretary’s Environmental Justice and Equity Advisory Board will hold its second meeting in Roxboro on Nov. 14.

The Secretary’s Environmental Justice and Equity Advisory Board was created to assist the Department in achieving and maintaining the fair and equal treatment and involvement of all North Carolinians.

Topics for next week’s meeting include recent hurricanes’ impacts and relief efforts and subcommittee updates. There also will be an opportunity for public comments. Prior to the meeting, board members and interested participants will have the opportunity to tour the Duke Energy Roxboro Power Plant.
