NCMA Welcomes New Business Partner - TRC

On September 17, 2019 the NCMA Board of Directors approved TRC Company's application to join NCMA as a Business Partner.

TRC is owned by New Mountain Capital. It is one of the oldest and largest environmental engineering and consulting companies in the United States.

The company has its roots in the Travelers Insurance Company and was originally formed as The Research Company of New England. Today, the company's client base includes 300 companies in the Fortune 500. TRC has regional offices in 20 U.S. cities as well as Lima, Peru, and Santiago, Chile. In North Carolina, TRC operates with 80 staff from four offices in North Carolina including Chapel Hill and Raleigh.

TRC’s consulting expertise includes Air Quality Compliance and Permitting, Air Emissions Testing, Ambient and Meteorological Monitoring, Archaeological Studies, Brownfields, Chemical/Waste Management and Reporting, Data Management and Analytics, Engineering (e.g. Civil, Geotechnical, Site Development), EHS Auditing, Environmental Management Information/Compliance Systems, Industrial Hygiene and Safety, PFAS and emerging contaminants, Renewable Energy,  Security, Site Remediation, Training and Wetlands.

TRC has been a regular exhibitor at NCMA’s EEHS School.

TRC’s application was sponsored by Mark Hawes, an NCMA Board member from Shurtape. The company’s primary contact with NCMA will be Rachel Velthuisen in the company’s Raleigh office.
