New Director of Communications and Regulatory Affairs

In a New Year’s email to NCMA members, Preston Howard announced that Jimmy Carter has been named the new Director of Communications and Regulatory Affairs effective January 2, 2018. Jim Kuszaj retired at the end of 2017 after 17 years with the NCMA.

Jimmy served 30 years in North Carolina’s lead environmental agency – what is now the Department of Environmental Quality - where he rose to the position of Assistant Secretary before retiring in 2010. Since then, he has worked as a Senior Consultant for Solutions-IES, a division of Draper Aden Associates (an NCMA business Partner). While at Solutions-IES, Jimmy held a concurrent role as Director of Marketing and Business Strategies for EOS Remediation (a subsidiary of Solutions-IES).
