Safer at Home
Recommendations
Now in Effect

North Carolina has moved from a statewide Stay at Home Executive Order (EO 121) to a Safer at Home Recommendation (EO 141) that has been extended by EO 147 through 5:00pm on July 17, 2020 unless repealed, replaced, or rescinded. EO 147 includes new measures to require face coverings in specified settings.

a CISA Identified
Essential Business?

Employers are concerned about their employees being stopped by law enforcement for violating Stay-at-Home Orders.

In response, the US Dept. of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has released an “Essential Worker Placard” that may be carried by employees of CISA-identified essential businesses.

Many Counties and Municipalities have aligned with the Statewide Executive Orders. However, a few local governments still have additional restrictions in place that augment the statewide Safer at Home Recommendations.
